How can I learn to make jewelry?
I want to start making jewelry and I do not know where to begin. I do not know if I should buy a book or attend classes…I just want this to be a hobby and I don’t want to spend a million dollars on this. So any info would be great. Thanx.
What are some alternatives of men's neck jewelry as opposed to the Christian cross chain?
I’m not a Christian and have no desire to wear a crucifix around my neck, but I would like some sort of alternative for new jewelry.

What trade shows have large quantities of silver plated chain for jewelry making ?
I have been looking and looking all over the internet for a certain style of silver plated chain, that is about 20 mm circles linked together with jump rings. My local jewelry store had it, but then they lost the supplier. I am looking for A LOT of it. So I am also thinking trade shows? However, I am getting lost and am not sure which one to go to. Please HELP!

how do you know if its silver, or silver plated and vice versa with gold?
how do you know the difference and how can you tell what kind of silver it is, if its pewter, if its a metal etc?
serious answers please. i really need to learn this stuff.
