5 Tips on How to Find the Best Wholesale Jewelry
Whether you’re a fashion retailer, an e-tailer, an eBay seller, or you simply want to earn some extra income selling costume jewelry, the key to success is finding great wholesale jewelry from a costume jewelry supplier. Finding high quality wholesale fashion jewelry can be an elusive quest, though, so here are five tips to get you started.
1. When it comes to wholesale jewelry, import is king.
Almost all fashion jewelry is imported, so you need to find a costume jewelry supplier that obtains jewelry from around the globe. The more sources of jewelry the supplier has, the more likely it is that you’ll be able to find the variety of pieces you need at bargain prices. In addition, you’ll be assured of a steady stream of new pieces and your ability to obtain the wholesale jewelry you need won’t be hampered by world events that negatively impact those wholesalers with only one supply chain.
2. Find a jewelry trend spotter.
Unless you’re steeped in the world of fashion, you won’t be exposed to the nuances of seasonal jewelry trends. A good wholesale jewelry store will do your homework for you, and offer pieces that reflect the latest trends in jewelry design. You don’t want to be stuck with chunky necklaces when fine filigree is in fashion, but you want to make sure you have enough hoop earrings when they hit the fashion runways.
3. Don’t forget the classics.
Although it’s important to have a variety of trendy pieces, a good wholesale costume jewelry supplier will also carry the classics, like sterling silver, cubic zirconia, Swarovski crystal, and semi-precious stone jewelry. Unless you specialize in being fashion forward, more traditional pieces are staples that will sell year-round.
4. Look for breadth and depth.
Accessories consist of more than earrings, bracelets, and necklaces, so your wholesale jewelry supplier should carry a wide variety of pieces. Anklets and toe rings are must-haves, but so are body jewelry, cell phone jewelry, hair accessories, key chain charms, and bejeweled belts.
5. Look for minimums, shipping, and customer satisfaction.
When you’re shopping for wholesale jewelry, find a costume jewelry supplier that has a reasonable minimum purchase. You may not be able to – or want to – commit to investing a significant sum of money in fashion jewelry. An online wholesale jewelry store, for example, may only have a fifty-dollar minimum order, which is a perfect place to start.
In addition, it’s important that the supplier you select has the merchandise in stock, rather than forcing you to wait until they receive their jewelry import. Look for a company that ships on the same business day or by the next business day at the latest.
Finally, one of the best ways to judge a wholesale jewelry supplier is by their commitment to customer satisfaction. The supplier should be able to provide you with testimonials, and attest to the importance of customer satisfaction to their business.

Jewelry Shopping for Gifts, Hobbies, Symbolism and Health
How else could humans accessorize themselves aside from wearing clothes and shoes? Also through jewelry, right? However, did you know that jewelry is not only used as accessories? Here are the other reasons as to why many don’t bother splurging some good dough over these often small yet grand in value items:
- as a sign of wealth and authority (crowns and tiaras)
- as a hobby (as with collectible antique jewelry)
- for symbolic purposes (crucifix, wedding bands, and mourning jewelry)
- for health reasons (as with medical alert jewelry)
- for amusement (as with puzzle jewelry)
Aside from the generic bracelets, earrings, necklaces, bangles and rings, jewels are now also in the forms of tiaras, anklets, studded belts, cufflinks, belly chains, armlets, thigh bands, toe rings and brooches. Surely, there’s one kind of jewelry that will enthrall each and every gender and genre.
Jewelry may be made of any kind of material, from precious to semi-precious gems to metals and less valuable materials such as those used for costume jewelry. Here are the most commonly used materials in making jewelry:
1. Organic material – such as shells, pearls and other similar objects
2. Gemstones – these include rhinestones, diamonds, rubies, and other precious and semi-precious stones.
3. Metals – a wide array of metals are used in jewelry. Here are those that are widely-used:
a. gold or gold plated – a metal or alloy that is one of the most commonly used b. sterling silver – often used as body jewelry and is very popular among teenagers c. platinum – often used in wedding bands, more rare and expensive than gold d. titanium – stronger and yet light, those who are sensitive to other metals prefer this e. niobium – also for those with metal sensitivity f. Lucite and Plexiglas – usually used for earrings
4. Wood – ethnic-designed jewelry and bangles
5. Plastic, pounded copper and brass are also used in making jewelry and are fast gaining popularity.
Whether your jewelry is a valuable one or simply something that you got from the flea market, surely it won’t hurt to take care of it properly for it to last and probably still be in good condition to be given as an heirloom. Jewelry is not only precious because of the material they are made of. Oftentimes, it is the sentimental value that makes these items more than just accessories. If you are considering giving more value to your jewelry, here are some tips on how to take care of your jewelry, particularly a metal jewelry:
1. Don’t use it every so often. Using it only during special occasions makes your jewelry earns more attention because of its novelty.
2. Don’t wear it when you are taking a bath, washing the dishes or whenever you have to submerge it to the water such as when you are swimming. Components of water and soap may diminish the sheen of your metal jewelry.
3. Clean it regularly with a soft cloth and jewelry cleaner.
4. When engaging into activities that would make you sweat, don’t wear your metal jewelry. Perspiration may make it lose its shine.
5. Have a jewelry box. This way, you not only secure the safety of your jewelry from thieves but also from other harsh elements that may tarnish it.
With those jewelry information in mind, your jewelry may just gain more value.

Body Jewelry: An Unusual Way of Enhancing The Beauty of Your Own Body
Since ancient times body jewelry has been a part of the culture and heritage of different religions. It has been known to be an essential part of the clothing and appearance of the people in many regions of the world. At different parts of time through the centuries it was also used to signify the class demarcations prevalent in society at that point of time.
However in recent times it has acquired a new dimension. Body jewelry has never been in such high demand. The human body is not merely a body, it is a piece of art which has its own innate beauty and body jewelry is the perfect way to enhance the beauty of your body. Not only can you decorate your body with it, but you can also use it to bring into focus certain parts of your body or to enhance the beauty of certain parts.
Body jewelry items are usually for particular places on the human body. These more common places for body jewelry include the nose, eyebrow, nipple, ear lobes and naval, along with ear plugs (both curved and straight barbells). As fashion trends keep changing, the various parts where you can use body jewelry and the manner in which you can use it also keeps changing.
Nose body jewelry comes either in the classic captive circular barbell, or in the form of a nose screw. The nose screw can either be jeweled or plain, depending upon your preference. Eyebrow body jewelry is similar to that of the nose, in the sense that the eyebrow body jewelry also has the small captive barbell. This is now being made with a dangling, sparkling charm to hang from the upper most part of your eyebrow barbell. The eyebrow body jewelry can be either curved or straight with a charm of any style or color dangling from the top.
Nipple and naval body jewelry is one of the more popular types of body jewelry, it is especially popular amongst the youth or the more adventurous in spirit. Nipple body jewelry includes the nipple barbells and the nipple shields. Naval body jewelry designs are also endless.
Whatever kind of body jewelry you use or wear it is important to keep some pointers in mind. Such as what kind of material is that specific body jewelry made off, is your skin allergic to it and is the piercing for the body jewelry done in a sterile and antiseptic environment.
This kind of jewelry is available for almost every conceivable part of your body. There are endless styles, designs, colors and textures in which body jewelry is made. What ever your budget, whether it is low end or high end; body jewelry is available in every range to suit your pocket as well as your tastes.
Body jewelry is not merely a decorative fixture; it is also a personal style statement. You can use it to bring attention or to take away attention from a specific part of your body. It is quite in vogue these days and has been in existence since time immemorial. If you have the attitude and the panache you can carry of any kind of body jewelry.

What Jewelry is a Must in Your Jewelry Box?
I am writing this article because I found this question on Yahoo! Answers. It is a fact that we women love jewelry, but should it not be in sync with our images. There were people suggesting all types of jewelry including body jewelry. I do not have anything against body jewelry in fact I think it is a very sensuous type of jewelry.
However, your jewelry box should contain things after considering following three criteria: 1) Your age: For anyone about the age 35 the jewelry should be a little mature. Small trinkets and little cutie bracelets should not do anymore. Instead you can start experimenting with something classy and equally chic. This is a bit expensive. But then if you want jewelry better make it conducive to image you want to portray.
2) Your Image: jewelry box is the best thing to use when you want to build your image. Keep buying good jewelry that has the promise to last longest along at every interval. You may need to invest a little. If short on cash you can start by buying good sets which are less in cost but do not look cheap. For example, instead of including a whole strand of pearls you can opt for single pearl locket with matching earrings, bracelet and finger ring.
3) Your mood: your jewelry box will very much show what mood you are in. When sad people seldom wear anything jewelry and when celebrating you surely are going to go in for that prized piece to wear. Jewelry also happens to be a great mood builder.
4) Your Sex: If you think it is only women who need to have jewelry box, you are wrong. Men too need good jewelry for special occasions. Rings, chains, lockets, earrings, tie pins, lapel pins, cuff links all qualify as men’s jewelry. A dazzling stone can actually make an impression on the next person.
What should your jewelry box contain?
Ideally I feel jewelry box should be divided into two different sections. Take care you never mix any. One should be expensive jewelry for special occasions; another one should be regular jewelry. Never wear expensive jewelry to office.
Expensive Jewelry Box: It can comprise of a jewelry watch, set of pearls, diamond set, ruby set, emerald set, mixed gemstones, etc. it all depends on your buying power. Men should have jewelry relevant to their profession.
Regular Jewelry Box: This can comprise of earrings, rings, chains, created of gold or gold plated which will not get damaged by regular use. Your regular jewelry needs to be tough enough to withstand contact with water, daily routine.
Use your jewelry box to the maximum by dividing all jewelry pieces so you can mix and match for extra style and fashion.
