Sometimes I like to buy cheap jewelry from Wet-Seal or other clothing stores. I keep it all together in a basket and after awhile some pieces start to smell really bad. I get that this is probably from the metals touching each other and breaking down. But is there anything I can do to stop them from smelling beside keeping every piece separate?

I would like to know what metals are best to use for jewelry making in terms of lifespan, safety, and not discolouring etc. Many thanks!
I know to avoid lead, nickel and tibetan silver. Are there any other similar metals to avoid?

I don’t want to use any type of metals for my jewelry. I’m starting to experiment with waxed cotton cord, I just can’t figure out what’s the best knot to finish each piece?! Any tutorials out there that are helpful? I prefer visuals than just written instruction.
