Grown out of Akoya oysters are Akoya pearls which are among the most popular types of pearls of today. Japan and China are so far the major and leading producers of Akoya pearls. Generally, an Akoya pearl is considered as the most lustrous of all pearls and this significantly elevates the quality of the pearl.

Similar to other pearl jewelry, they come in different varieties, as they come in varying colors, as white, cream, silver, gold, black and taints of colored ones.  They are regarded as the largest among other pearls and usually grow in larger sizes. Pearls are, indeed, very lovely. And as small things becoming bigger and greater, they are made so because there is the convergence of nature and nurture. As man nurtures what is before him and accordingly allow nature to do its work, it seems like a partnership between them to bring such a treasure as the South Sea Pearl. Isn’t that such a beauty?

Among those hints and taints over that original stark white ball, black pearls are the most highly valued, and said to be the best of its kind. Like other things, rarity of these pearls created as earrings and jewelries are the considered matches to that price it is tagged on.
 
The colors of pearl earrings can only be as much, however, the varieties are countless. Generally though, these pearls are categorized into classification, as Freshwater, Tahitian, Black, and Cultured.  So what are these?   

The Freshwater and Saltwater pearls are the most common supplies you’ll find around mostly because they are not as expensive as the other kinds, but still showcasing that same quality.
